Loneliness as a Ministry Leader: CONNECTION

Meaningful friendships as an adult is a CHORE! Let’s add how hard it is to have friendship as a pastor or ministry leader. There can be tons of loneliness as a minstry leader serving a church. It hard to be authentically yourself.

With every new era, friends sometimes fade like leaves in the winter. Finding connection normally falls on the bottom of the list of priorities. We have our ministries, church commitments, fires to put out, families to raise, food to eat, the Spurs to cheer on.

When it’s time for friends we are tired, burned out and would rather be in our jammies on the couch binge watching our guilty pleasure on Netflix. But Connection is not just a box to check. Friends aren’t just for kids.

Instead, connection–friendship–is just as important to our health as our mental health, our diet or our relationship with Jesus. In this Podcast by Mel Robbings, she breaks down not just WHY friendships are important but practical ways to stay connected with other adults.

Take some time to listen. And consider how your Circle at Good Co. can be a place for real, authentic friendships.
